House of Inanna is based in San Jose, CA, and was formed in 2002.

Our belly dance style is mostly based in FatChanceBellyDance®Style (FCBD®Style, formerly known as American Tribal Style/ATS®) — as taught by Carolena Nericcio’s seminal dance troupe, FatChance BellyDance. Our style also includes elements of old-school Egyptian cabaret and Silk Road cultures from Morocco through Turkey and India. Our FCBD®Style belly dance classes are taught in San José, California (and now available virtually anywhere in the world!), and our troupe and students include moms, grandmothers, students, professionals, and goddesses.

We welcome people of all ages, genders, races, backgrounds, sizes and abilities to our weekly belly dance classes! Since we see dance as an expression of devotion, we enjoy blurring the line between performer and audience. We have performed at Tribal Fest, Rakkasah, Beat Magic, Burning Man, Coastal Belly Fest, The Eyes Have It, Clockwork Alchemy and more, as well as various SF Bay Area locations at public events, fundraisers, and private parties.
